The Smart Farm R&D Foundation is an organization established to lead the future of agriculture, based on a multi-ministerial innovative technology development program jointly promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Rural Development Administration. In response to climate change and the growing need for agricultural sustainability, the Foundation is advancing smart agriculture solutions and next-generation core technologies by integrating artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and sensor technologies. Through these efforts, it aims to develop second- and third-generation smart farms in the fields of greenhouse horticulture and livestock farming. Furthermore, the Foundation supports the practical application and dissemination of technologies through field-oriented R&D and standardization. By establishing a Korean-style smart farm model, it seeks to enhance global competitiveness and realize a sustainable future for agriculture both domestically and internationally.
